Web Design, SEO & AI: Sarasota, FL

Sarasota web design for a town people keep moving to.

New residents arrive here every month, and none of them have a neighbor to ask yet. They search. I build the websites, search visibility and systems that put you in front of them, for real estate, legal, medical, senior care, home services and construction firms across Sarasota and Manatee.

Growth only helps you if they can find you.

A steady supply of new customers is the best thing about this market. It turns into revenue only if you are the one who comes up when they go looking.

Your best future customers have never heard of you

Twenty years of reputation reaches the people who were already here. Somebody who closed on a house in April has nobody to ask, so they open their phone and choose from what comes back. Whoever turns up first has a real head start.

Half your audience cannot comfortably read your website

Sarasota County has one of the oldest median ages in the country. If your type is 14px, your phone number is an icon, and your booking flow hides behind three taps, you are quietly turning away the people most able to pay you.

The decision often starts before they get here

Plenty of buying decisions about this coast are made from Ohio in September. If you do not turn up in that search, or in whatever an AI assistant says when they ask it instead, you never enter the running and you never find out why.

Every tool was bought to solve one bad week

The booking system, the CRM, the thing the last marketing person set up. Each one fixed a single urgent problem, none of them talk to each other, and nobody has ever sat down and looked at the whole picture.

If you want the detail behind those numbers, here is how website pricing actually works and what moves a project to the top of the range.

Lakewood Ranch has been among the best-selling master-planned communities in the country for years. A family moving in will call three agents or three contractors the same afternoon, and the one who calls back first usually gets the work.

How I Help Sarasota Businesses

Get found, then be worth finding.

Four things, and they are the same four whether you run a brokerage on Main Street or a build company out of Venice: get found, convert what arrives, automate the repetitive middle, and have someone senior making the calls.

Web Design & Development

Sarasota web design that reads well at arm's length

Custom built, fast, and designed for the audience in front of you rather than a portfolio shot. Generous type, obvious phone numbers, short forms, and a first visit that gives somebody no reason to go back to the search results.

Marketing & SEO

Be the first name a newcomer finds

Someone new to the area goes looking with no shortlist and no opinion yet. Local search, the map pack, and whether an AI assistant can find and cite you at all, which is now a separate problem from ranking.

AI Integration & Strategy

Answer everyone, without hiring for it

The repetitive work is the same every week: answering, qualifying, booking, chasing. That is exactly the shape of thing worth automating, and it means a first inquiry from somebody who found you at nine on a Friday night does not sit until Monday.

Somebody senior deciding what you actually need

Most of the waste I find in this market is not a bad tool, it is four tools bought separately in four busy weeks. I take ownership of the decisions: what to keep, what to cut, what to connect, and who to hold to account.

You see the plan before the work starts.

Priorities and rough costs land in front of you first, so you can cut half of it before anything gets built.

I look at the whole thing

Your tools, your workflows, and the places time and money leak out of them. There are usually a few surprises.

Priorities, rough costs, and the order I would tackle them in. You are free to take it and do none of it.

I do the work

Implementation, the vendors, and the upkeep afterward. You stay focused on running the business.

Where I work across Sarasota and Manatee.

Nearly all of this runs on calls and shared screens, so the drive time matters far less than it used to. These are the places that come up most.

FAQ

What Sarasota business owners ask me first.

You are not based in Sarasota. Does that matter?

Honest answer: for the work itself, no. I am in Central Florida, roughly ninety minutes up the road, and almost all of this runs on calls, shared docs and screens regardless of where anyone sits. What it does mean is that I am not going to pretend to be your neighbor. If you want somebody who will be at the chamber breakfast every week, hire locally. If you want the work done properly and a direct line to the person doing it, distance has not been a problem for any client yet.

Most of our work comes from referrals. Does search really matter here?

It matters more here than almost anywhere, and for a reason that catches people out. Referrals only reach people who already know somebody. This region adds new residents constantly, and somebody who moved here in March has no neighbor to ask, no history with any of you, and no shortlist. They open their phone and pick from what comes back. Your reputation can be twenty years deep and still be completely invisible to the customer who arrived last month.

Most of our customers are retirees. Does that change the website?

Quite a lot, and it is the thing most sites here get wrong. Bigger type, real phone numbers that are easy to find and tap, forms that are short, and no clever interactions that hide the thing somebody is looking for. It does not have to look dated to be readable. It does have to stop assuming everyone is twenty-eight and on the newest phone.

What kind of businesses do you usually work with here?

Small and mid-size, roughly 5 to 100 people, without an in-house technology person. Real estate teams, law firms, medical and dental practices, senior care, home services and builders come up most in this market. The common thread is not the industry, it is having outgrown the tools you started with.

Does the season affect any of this?

Less than people expect, unless you are in hospitality or something else tied to visitors, in which case I will keep risky changes well away from your peak. For most businesses here the bigger rhythm is that new residents keep arriving all year, and a good share of them start looking before they have finished unpacking.

Do you do SEO, or just build the site?

Both, and I would rather do both, because a site built without search in mind is a much more expensive thing to fix later. That includes local search, the map pack, and increasingly whether AI assistants can find and cite you at all, which is a genuinely different problem from ranking on Google.

What does starting look like?

A conversation, then a plan. I want to understand how the business actually runs before recommending anything, and you get a straight answer on whether I am the right fit for it. No long proposal, no months of discovery, month to month once we start.

What are we likely to spend?

Most websites I build for businesses this size run $8,000 to $15,000, and the outliers are usually the ones taking payments or handling regulated data. Marketing and fractional CTO work is monthly instead of a single build, so it is a different shape of number entirely. Nothing starts until you have seen the figure and said yes to it.

Not on the Suncoast? I also work across Tampa Bay and Orlando, and for most of this work, anywhere at all. See the full picture of where I work.

Things you only know if you work here.

Every market has its own rhythms, and they show up in the work more than people expect. This is what running a business in this one looks like.

The customer base refreshes itself constantly

Sarasota and Manatee have been among the faster growing counties in Florida for years, and it shows up in who walks through the door. A large share of the people who will hire you next year do not live here yet. They arrive with no loyalties, no local recommendations and no idea who any of you are, which makes being findable worth considerably more here than in a settled market.

The audience is older and wealthier than your analytics assume

For a city this size the cultural economy is unusual: the Ringling, the opera, the orchestra, a serious theater scene. It tells you something about who is reading your website. That person is often older, has money to spend, and is considerably less patient with a clever interface than the person who designed it assumed.

Lakewood Ranch is its own gravity

It has spent years near the top of the best-selling master-planned community lists in the country, it straddles the Sarasota and Manatee county line, and it behaves like a separate market from downtown. Businesses that treat the whole region as one audience tend to underperform at both ends of it.

Let's talk about what technology should be doing for your Sarasota business.

Web design, search visibility, AI or the technology decisions behind all three. It starts with a straight conversation and a plan you are free to walk away from.
