Marketing that you can actually measure.
About 40% of my work is some form of marketing. Not campaigns for their own sake, but the specific things that make the phone ring and let you prove which ones did it.
I've been building websites and the marketing around them for over 20 years. I don't resell ad spend or hand you a dashboard nobody reads. I find the two or three things that move your number and I build them.
You're doing six things. None of them well.
A neglected Google Business Profile. Social accounts that stopped in March. An email list nobody has mailed since the holidays. A boosted post here and there. Some SEO somebody did in 2021. It isn't that any of it is wrong, it's that none of it is connected and none of it is measured, so you can't tell what to cut and what to double.
For local search, your reviews matter more than your copy
Search "web design orlando" or "seo orlando" from an Orlando address and the first three results aren't web pages at all. They're map listings, and every organic result sits underneath them. The businesses holding those three slots carry between 10 and 134 reviews. A listing with none cannot enter that block at any ranking, no matter what the page says.
Most marketing pages won't tell you that, because the fix isn't something they can bill for. So here it is: if you serve a local market and your Google Business Profile is thin, that's the first job, and it's worth more than any month of on-page work. I'll help you build the review workflow, and then we do the rest.
3
map results above every organic listing
On local service queries in Orlando and Tampa, the map pack takes the top of the page. Organic position one is really position four.
10
reviews at the low end of the local pack
The current holders on "seo orlando" range from 10 reviews to 134. Ten is a reachable number for most businesses inside a quarter.
$87
what a click on "web designer near me" costs
That is the local cost-per-click advertisers pay for the same intent you can earn. It is a useful measure of what the position is worth.
Figures from Google Ads keyword data and live search results for the Orlando and Tampa metros, checked July 2026. They move, so treat them as a snapshot rather than a promise.

Every keyword on this page was priced at metro scope, not national. National volume for these terms overstates the local opportunity by an order of magnitude.
Four pieces, and you probably need two of them.
Local & Technical Search
SEO
Getting found by the people already looking for what you sell. Technical fixes, local search, the Google Business Profile work that decides the map pack, and content built around the words people type.
- Local SEO and map pack strategy
- Technical audits and Core Web Vitals
- Keyword research at metro scope
- Structured data and schema markup
AEO & Generative Engine Optimization
AI Search Visibility
A growing share of buyers ask ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google's AI Overviews instead of scrolling a results page. Those systems can only recommend a business they can read, verify and corroborate. I make yours legible to them.
- Answer engine optimization (AEO)
- Generative engine optimization (GEO)
- Entity and citation consistency
- E-E-A-T signals that hold up
Positioning, Channels & Measurement
Marketing Strategy
Before you spend on any channel, you need to know who you're for, why they'd pick you, and which two or three things are worth doing well. Most small businesses are spread across six channels and measuring none of them.
- Positioning and messaging
- Channel selection and budget
- Conversion tracking that works
- Reporting you can act on
Email, Lifecycle & Follow-Up
Marketing Automation
The leads you already have are the cheapest ones you'll ever get. Automation makes sure none of them go cold because somebody was busy, on vacation, or working a different job that afternoon.
- Email and SMS sequences
- Lead scoring and routing
- CRM and lifecycle workflows
- Review generation that runs itself
Search now has three surfaces, and most sites are built for one of them.
Ten years ago there was a results page and you either ranked on it or you didn't. Today the same question can be answered three different ways before anybody clicks anything, and each one rewards something different.
The map pack
Local service queries. Three listings above everything else.
What wins there
Google Business Profile completeness, review volume and recency, proximity, category accuracy, consistent name and address data everywhere else on the web.
The results page
Everything else, plus the directories and roundups that outrank most local businesses.
What wins there
Technical health, content depth on pages that match real search intent, internal linking, and links from places that already have authority.
The generated answer
ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews. No results page at all, just a recommendation.
What wins there
Being readable, being corroborated by third parties, and having claims a model can verify rather than just assertions on your own site.
The work overlaps, which is the good news. Clean structured data helps all three. Real content that answers a real question helps all three. But the levers are not identical, and a plan that only addresses the middle column is leaving the other two on the table. More on how I handle search and how I handle the generated answers.

How it works
Four steps, and the fourth one is the one most people skip.
Baseline
I measure what you have before touching anything: rankings, profile health, where traffic comes from, and what happens to a lead once it arrives.
Pick two
Everything gets ranked by likely impact against effort, and we commit to the top of that list. Doing two things properly beats six things badly.
Build and instrument
The work ships with tracking attached, so a change and its effect are visible in the same place instead of argued about later.
Read the numbers
Monthly, in plain English, including the parts that didn't work. Then we cut those and put the money somewhere better.

What business owners ask me first
Are you a marketing agency?
How is this different from the SEO work under web design?
How long before I see results?
What does it cost?
Do I need all four of these?
Can you work alongside my existing marketing company?

Fractional CTO
When the bottleneck is the systems behind the marketing, not the marketing.
Local search matters most where somebody is comparing three options in one sitting, which is usually legal, home services, dental and med spas. I work with businesses in Orlando, Tampa, Sarasota and plenty of places nowhere near any of them.
Want to know which of your marketing is working?
Send me what you're doing now and I'll tell you which parts are earning their keep, which aren't, and what I'd change first. That conversation costs nothing.
